First Communion: Grade 4 and above

Children from Grade 4 up are invited to present themselves to Receive their First Communion.  The steps to the Sacrament are as follows.

• Registration
• 4 Parent Formation Nights, 7.00pm on Tuesdays
• Family Masses
• 4 Presentation Masses (any Masses on that weekend)
• Workshop Day.
• First Communion Mass.

 Information & Registration:      Tuesday February 7

For parents of children receiving Sacraments in 2006. 
Sessions 10am, 4pm, or 7.30pm (in the Church).

Family Formation Nights: 7.00-8.30pm & special Sunday Masses to follow: 

May 2                Family Night 1: We Gather & We Listen (Ch 1&2)

May 6/7                         Commitment of Candidates at weekend Masses

June 6               Family Night 2: We Share and give Thanks (Ch 3&4)

June 10-11        Presentation Masses

July 4                Family Night 3: We are Sent Out (Ch 5&6)t

July 8-9             Presentation Masses

 Workshop Day        Wednesday August 9:  Workshop Day

9am – 3pm at the Church.  This involves children from all schools.  Government School children should advise their schools they will be absent this day.

First Communion Sundays

Weekend August 12/13      First Communion - 7pm; 9am, 11am

Weekend August 19/20      First Communion - 7pm, 9am, 11am

Weekend August 26.27      First Communion - 7pm, 9am, 11am

 Celebrations with First Communion Students will happen after holidays

General Information

Children are invited to participate in Sacrament Preparation Programs in Grades 3, 4, & 6.  Cost is $30 per child, which covers resources for the home program & workshop day (including lunch).  Payment is to be made with Registration.

All workshops and Parent Formation nights will be held at the St. Paul Apostle Church.
