Confirmation

Children from Grade 6 and above eligible to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.  The steps to the Sacrament are as follows.

• Registration
• Family Preparation Nights
• Commitment/Presentation Masses
• Workshop Day
• Confirmation Masses.

Information & Registration

Tuesday February 6:

For parents of children receiving all Sacraments in 2006. 

Sessions 10am, 4pm, or 7.30pm (in the Church).

Preparation

Tuesday May 29: Family Preparation Night 1 (Ch 1&2)

Sign up for Mass Times:  7– 8.30pm

Weekend June 2/3:  Commitment Masses for Candidates

At any Mass Sat 7pm, Sun 9am, 11am, 6pm.

Tuesday July 24: Family Preparation Night 2 (Ch 3&4)

7– 8.30pm

Weekend July 28/29:  Presentation Masses for Candidates

At any Mass Sat 7pm, Sun 9am, 11am, 6pm.

Tuesday September 4: Family Preparation Night 3 (Ch 5&6)

7– 8.30pm

Weekend Sept. 8/9: Presentation Masses for Candidates  

At any Mass Sat 7pm, Sun 9am, 11am, 6pm.

Wednesday September 12: Workshop Day, 9 00 am - 3pm. 

This involves children from all schools.  Government School children should advise schools they will be absent this day.

Celebrating the Sacrament

Bishop Christopher Prowse will Confirm our children at the following Mass times.

Saturday September 15 @ 7pm                  Confirmation Mass (as proposed)

Sunday September 16 @ 11am                   Confirmation Mass (as proposed)

Celebrations with Confirmation Candidates will happen at the schools in the weeks to follow.

General Information

Children are invited to participate in Sacrament of Confirmation from Grade 6 and up.  Cost is $30 per child, which covers resources for the home program & workshop day (including lunch).  Payment is to be made with Registration.

All Workshops and Parent Formation nights will be held at the St. Paul Apostle Church.
